It’s important to not let your recent success, either at work or in your personal life, result in you relaxing your efforts. Sometimes when we achieve small successes it distracts us from our larger goals. Maybe a little satisfaction feels safe because if we stay in a situation where we know we can succeed, we don’t have to deal with the possibility of failure in the future. If these small achievements are good enough for you, then by all means, continue to put in this same amount of effort. If what you really want requires a little more work and a little more risk, then go for it. Don’t let tiny victories become enough for you or convince you that you’ve made it. You still have a lot more to offer and much larger victories ahead.
